Hiking tour with local food included - Paklenica near Zadar

This Paklenica hiking tour is a result of us contemplating on how to present you all that this area of Zadar region and Velebit mountain have to offer. It includes guided hiking through the Paklenica National Park and Paklenica canyon, visit to local huts, stops for a short picnic with local delicacies on the menu, and lunch that includes traditional specialty menu (meat or octopus prepared under the famous baking lid, or some other one) prepared just for you. The whole tour is thoroughly documented as you are accompanied not only by two guides but also a professional photographer that will capture these precious moments forever. Transfer to Paklenica and back is included - we depart at 8:00 from Zadar, and return at 16:00 from Paklenica.

Included:

• Organized transfer by van and/or car to Paklenica, a national park within the most important Croatian mountain Velebit, 55 km from Zadar
• Guided hiking through Paklenica National Park to the Paklenica canyon and a visit to the location of Ivančev dom, a charming hut of a local family that offers traditional dishes and unparalleled views among the hills of Paklenica
• Stopping for a picnic on the meadow that includes homemade bacon, cheese, liqueurs, brandy and local wine / craft beer
• Passing through old villages next to historic stone houses
• Introduction to the history, flora and fauna of Velebit and Paklenica
• Lunch at Ivančev dom - homemade peka (meat or octopus baked under the metal or clay baking lid covered with amber) or other traditional specialty by arrangement
• Return through the Paklenica canyon to the entrance to the national park
• Transport back to Zadar
• Professional photography of the tour; photos will be sent through the cloud service (Google Drive or similar) as a top souvenir reminding on an autochthonous tour of the most important Croatian mountain
