Description

Available: on request

Departures: City of Krk, Punat, Stara Baška, Omišalj, Njivice, Malinska

Unfortunately, Risnjak is the least visited national park in Croatia. This is mainly due to its location without proper transport connections with larger cities. The mountain is located far from civilization and is located between the sea and the continent. It is a place of great biodiversity, with dense forests inhabited by lynx, wolfs, and bears. Winters are long, cold, and snowy, summers are short and never hot. The views are incredibly beautiful all the way to the Croatian coast, Gorski Kotar, and if you are lucky and the weather is perfect, you may see the Alps.

After gathering on the island of Krk, we drive to the entrance to the Risnjak National Park. There we begin the ascent to the top of Risnjak, 1528m. We can see parts of evergreen forests and white rocks. The breaks are adapted to each group individually. The final ascent to the ridge is secured by a cable. The view from the top is truly breathtaking and you can see all the surrounding mountains and the entire Kvarner Bay. After the ascent, we descend to the Mountain Lodge to refresh and renew our energy.
