Description

This day trip from Zadar to two small islands is the one that will positively surprise you. On our boat trip we will first visit Ošljak, also called Lazaret. Lazarets (after St Lazare, the protector of the sick) were the oldest hospitals for the isolation of leprosy and plague patients, established in ports to carry out quarantine measures. Today it is inhabited by one family only, and it is a great place to escape stress of everyday life. Second one is Galevac, just 85 m from Preko village; you can actually walk to it during low tide. In the middle there is a monastery and little church of St. Paul from 15th century. It is the smallest inhabited island of the Adriatic coast and beautiful example of traditional architecture. Crystal clear sea only makes these islands more appealing.
